Step 2: Register or Log In 

·       If you are a first-time user, you will have to register using your mobile number and email address.

·       Make sure you remember your login credentials because you will need them again during renewals.

·       Once you are logged in, look for the trade license application form and begin the process.

Step 3: Complete the Application Form 

·       Click on Apply for New Trade License.

·       Take your time to complete the form because you will have to fill out all the details, including the owner’s details, type of business, number of employees you have, business address, and what you are actually doing in your business.

·       After completing the form, you will proceed to the document upload process.

Step 4: Upload Documents 

You will be required to submit ID proof, address proof, documents proving that you own or rent the business space, a No Objection Certificate if applicable, and any other documents that the portal may require. Ensure that the scanned documents are clear and in the correct format, which is PDF or JPG. Once this is complete, you can proceed to pay the fees.

Step 5: Pay the Fees 

·       The fees will be calculated automatically based on the information you provide for your business.

·       You can pay the fees using net banking, UPI, or a credit/debit card.

·       After making the payment, proceed to submit your application and obtain a tracking number.

Step 6: Submit and Track Your Application 

·       After you have submitted all the documents, you will be assigned a special application number.

·       You can then use this number to track your application status online.

·       After you have been registered, the authorities will examine your application, and in some cases, they will even visit you for an inspection.

Step 7: Verification and Inspection 

·       The authorities will examine your application and documents.

·       Depending on the nature of your business, the authorities may visit your premises to check aspects such as fire safety, cleanliness (this is a critical aspect for food-related businesses), zoning laws, and your signage.
