Why Do Companies Change Their Registered Office?
There is always a good reason for making the change. It may be because of expanding into a larger or more convenient location. Perhaps the rent is lower in another location, or it’s just more convenient to be located near the head office, a plant, or a regulator. Sometimes companies want to locate themselves near their customers or suppliers, or they may be restructuring for strategic or regulatory reasons.
Businesses change their registered office address for all sorts of reasons.
Expansion or Chang Location: It might be because they are expanding. Perhaps they have simply outgrown their current location and require a larger one, or perhaps they are relocating to a new city altogether.
Operational Reasons: Other times, it is because the original location is no longer suitable. Perhaps it is not designed with the way the staff work in mind, or perhaps it is simply a pain in the neck to get to.
Cost Reasons: Finances also come into play. Perhaps they come across a location that has lower rent or better infrastructure, and it would be a smart move to relocate.
Compliance Reasons: Then, of course, there is the paperwork. Some businesses must relocate their registered office in order to remain in compliance with local regulations.
