ESI (Employees’ State Insurance) Registration is a mandatory social security scheme under the ESI Act, 1948. It provides medical and financial benefits to employees in case of sickness, maternity, disability, or death due to employment-related injuries.

Any business or establishment with 10 or more employees (in some states, threshold is 20) earning ₹21,000/month or less in wages must register under ESI and contribute to the scheme.

Employer: 3.25% of employee's wages Employee: 0.75% of their wages These are paid monthly to the ESIC portal.
