What is FDI Filing with RBI?
The process of reporting foreign investments in India to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in accordance with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) is known as FDI filing. Any business that accepts foreign direct investment must abide by the RBI's regulations, which stipulate that specific files must be submitted with the RBI on time.
FDI(Foreign Direct Investment)
Significant police reforms were implemented in the aftermath of liberalisation in the 1980s and the implementation of the new industrial strategy in 1991 in order to remove administrative obstacles and permit the free movement of foreign capital and international commerce. Through the removal of barriers to foreign investment and the simplification of processes, the FDI system has been gradually liberalised.
