What is Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement(DTAA)?
The Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, or DTAA, is a treaty that two nations have signed to avoid taxing the same revenue twice. If you live in one nation and earn money in another, the DTTA requires you to pay taxe’s in only one of those countrie’s, or at a much lower rate in both.
DTAA is particularly crucial for non-resident Indians (NRIs) because it shields income generated in India from taxation in both India and their home country.
